Ogres Win at Home, 7-4
|
Crescent City center fielder Cris Colón had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Colón went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, even as Olympia beat the Krewe, 7-4. Chun-hua Zhào got the win, improving to 3-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Jeff Rodríguez collected save number 14.
Duk-yoon Yun hit a 2-run double off Bill Darcy in the bottom of the third, which put the Ogres in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Yun had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Yun told the Olympia Citizen.
With the win, the Ogres improved to 25-30.
