Krewe Top Fighting Imps to Even Record
Krewe left fielder James Lee left his mark on his team's 8-7 win over the Ithaca Fighting Imps. Lee, who is tied for 9th in the PAA with a .372 on-base percentage, went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Crescent City in the contest. Crescent City reliever Bob Stevens picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Andrés Gonzáles absorbed the loss. Ithaca has now lost 5 in a row.

Martin Watson, who is tied for 9th in the PAA with a .485 slugging percentage, took Ithaca hurler Andrés Gonzáles deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Krewe on top, 8-7. In all, Watson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

Krewe manager Jack Morton wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
