Krewe Take Down Screaming Eagles, 6-4
|
The Crescent City Krewe picked up a win at Field of the Krewe, downing the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-4. On the mound for Crescent City was right-hander Joe Casey, who played a pivotal role in the win. Wayne Meyrick collected his 11th save. Crescent City has a record of 33-30, placing them third in the Premier AA.
Martin Watson had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the second for Crescent City. With the bases loaded and the Krewe leading 2-0, he hit a 2-run single.
Said Crescent City manager Jack Morton: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
