Olympia turned a good effort from starter Curt Case into a win over the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis at Mariachi Band Shell. The final score was 3-1. Jeff Rodríguez recorded the save, his 18th. The 9th-place Ogres go to 29-35.

Ed Brandon, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in triples with 2, helped out the Olympia cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Olympia manager Andrés Gonzáles.
