The Bethesda Atoms knocked off the Olympia Ogres, 5-2, in USPL Double A action at The Ogre Den. Bethesda pitcher and Ocala, Florida, native Carlos Ramos had an outstanding performance. In 6.2 innings, Ramos surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Bethesda is in first place in the Premier AA with a record of 43-26.

Bethesda took a 4-2 lead on John Curry's 14th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Curry hit in the top of the seventh, left Olympia pitcher Alfonso Ríos visibly frustrated.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Ramos.
