Mariachis 5-3 Losers to Krewe
|
The Crescent City Krewe weathered a fine game by Nuevo Mexico third baseman Bruce Wood to upend the Mariachis, 5-3, at Mariachi Band Shell. Wood went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Diego Ramírez was credited with the save for Crescent City, his 10th of the season. The Mariachis, now 38-36, have lost 4 in a row.
Crescent City used the hitting of James Lee to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Krewe on top, 4-1. For the game, Lee had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Nuevo Mexico manager Allen Carlson.
