Bethesda Tops Marquette, 4-2

The Bethesda Atoms knocked off the Marquette Miners, 4-2, in USPL Double A action at Marquette Stadium. Bethesda pitcher and White Bear Lake, Minnesota, native Luis Yánez had an outstanding performance. Bethesda is now 47-28, Marquette 35-40.
Bethesda used a clutch at-bat from Joe Johnston to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Atoms ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Johnston told the Bethesda Bulletin.
