The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis outlasted the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-3, in 11 innings. Nuevo Mexico second baseman Shi-xian Yong stood out with his performance. He went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. The Mariachis saw their record improve to 40-44.

Nuevo Mexico used a timely hit from Santiago Ybarra to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

In postgame comments, Ybarra said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
