Gonzalo Espinoza propelled his team to victory over the Caldwell Chiefs. The final score was 3-2, Pontiac. The second-place Godfathers hiked their record to 18-11.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 24-year old first baseman Richard Farley had a chance to be the hero. Caldwell pitcher Hisanobu Harada wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Farley hit a sacrifice fly. The Godfathers had themselves a thrilling win.

Farley said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
