Johnson Stellar as Torch Coast to 12-1 Win
Mancelona Torch starter Marvin Johnson had all his pitches working at Torch Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 12-1 Mancelona win over the Niagara Falls Expos. The Torch now own a record of 15-15.

Johnson, who dominated for Mancelona, earned the victory to move to 2-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 7. Niagara Falls batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Johnson. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
