Hawks Earn Late 4-3 Win
Caldwell third baseman Melvin Farr had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Laredo at Hawks Field. Farr went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Laredo reliever Andy Lewis snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ken Weaver shouldered the loss. Laredo is now 19-17, Caldwell 16-20.

Douglas Ingate played the role of hero for Laredo. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Ken Weaver to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Ingate said.
