Starting pitcher Miguel González gave the Caldwell Chiefs a rock-solid effort. The Roanoke, Virginia native helped his team defeat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 3-0, at Pipers Ballpark. Elliott Halcomb closed the game out for Caldwell, earning his 2nd save. With the win over Idaho Falls, the Chiefs improved to 18-21.

Miguel González was masterful. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.

"Miguel was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Caldwell manager Jorge Agramunt.
