Aguilera Goes Distance in Pontiac Win
|
The Pontiac Godfathers got a strong performance from pitcher Raúl Aguilera. Hardrock stymied the Washington offense en route to a solid, 7-1 win at Pontiac Copperdome. Pontiac has now won 3 straight, while the Generals have lost 4 in a row.
Aguilera, the winner, is now 5-1. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 11 Ks. He essentially shut down the Washington offense.
"We had a good game plan," Aguilera said, "and we were able to execute it."
