5 Straight Wins for Bulls
|
In a tight tilt between the Belleville Bulls and the Columbia River Rats, Jed Banks was the deciding factor. The Belleville right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Banks yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. Scot Dixon finished to wrap up his 11th save.
Thomas Erak had a direct impact on the outcome. Erak contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Belleville up, 2-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Banks told the Belleville Citizen.
The 4th-place Bulls have won 5 in a row.
