With first baseman Terry Bollea leading the charge, the Mancelona Torch defeated the Caldwell Chiefs, 6-4, at Torch Field. Bollea was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mancelona, now 30-28, holds down 7th place in the Menard's A.

Bollea contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Mancelona in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Bollea took a changeup from Carlos Pereira and stroked the double to center. His 8th double of the season allowed the Torch to leap in front, 3-2.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Bollea told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
