A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Grease Zerk, the 9th overall pick in the 2056 draft, led the Laredo Hawks to a win over the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-5. Howard Stewart earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Their 38-34 record puts the Hawks 6th in the Menard's A.
With Laredo leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Zerk came up to bat against Pontiac pitcher Naia Pirini. Zerk hit a circle change to right for a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Hawks on top, 4-1.
