A 4-RBI performance from Jeffrey Hull helped the Columbia River Rats beat the Caldwell Chiefs, 7-3. Jack Simmons picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ronnie Palmer was tagged with the loss. With the loss, Caldwell sinks to 2-1.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Hull delivered big-time for Columbia, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Ronnie Palmer. The game-changing hit put the River Rats on top, 7-3.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Caldwell manager Jorge Agramunt.
