Expos Lose Again, 2-1, to Bulls
|
Victor Griffin was terrific for the Belleville Bulls in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Niagara Falls Expos. His performance earned Griffin rave reviews. Griffin got the win, improving to 1-6. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Earning his 18th save of the year was Luis Martínez.
In the top of the fifth, 20-year old shortstop Bartolo Moreno hit a run-scoring single to center. The single, which was hit off of Joe Woolsey, gave Belleville a 2-0 lead.
"There is no easy way to lose when you're doing everything you can to win games," said Niagara Falls manager Ismael Barrios.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for Niagara Falls.
