Levittown Loses, 4-2, to Lake Erie in 10
|
Lake Erie turned a good performance from starting pitcher Geoffrey Bannon into a 4-2 triumph over the Levittown Blue Dragons at The Cave at Levittown. Cecil Miller came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-3. The Blue Dragons fall to 6-13 and continue to sputter in the early going.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Gerald Jones came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Levittown pitcher Mario Salas, he hit a 1-2 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lake Erie on top, 2-1.
Bannon told a Lake Erie News reporter that he felt "relieved" after the win.
