Due in part to designated hitter Pedro Rey, the Holy City Herons chopped down the Yucca Valley Yellows, 6-4, in 11 innings. Rey went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winner was Holy City reliever Aaron Valdivieso, now 1-1. The loser was Pancho Lizalda. The win gives Holy City a season record of 22-9.

Holy City got a knockout punch from Dewitt Kennedy. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Rey said.
