Behind a solid performance from right fielder Roberto Duarte, the Grim Reapers defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 11-0. Duarte went 4 for 4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Reapers. Julien Parmentier, the winner, is now 4-1. He struck out 6 and walked 1 over 7 innings, while allowing no runs on 2 hits. With this game in the books, Grim is 21-17, Levittown 12-26.
With Grim leading 8-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Duarte batted against Levittown pitcher Wilson León. Duarte hit a changeup to left for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Reapers on top, 11-0.
"We didn't play well enough to win," said Levittown skipper Nees Bogermans.
