The Alaskan Bush Pilots faced a tough opponent in Philadelphia pitcher Bryan Miller, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Liberty Youth Field by a final score of 4-3 in 11 innings. Miller went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Steven Cowan claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 3-2. Bryan Massey closed the game out for Alaskan, earning his 14th save.

Bryce Green, who is tied for 8th in the SA in triples with 1, had a direct impact on the outcome. Green contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Alaskan up, 3-0.
