Liberty U-24 Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The 6-5 Philadelphia win over Grim was due largely to Greg Fuentes. The Liberty U-24 right fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bob McCormick, who leads the SA in strikeouts with 60, was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was Pancho Maldonado. The second-place Liberty U-24 have won 4 straight games.
Fuentes broke a deadlock in the top of the tenth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Philadelphia up, 4-3.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Fuentes.
