Blue Dragons Collect 2-1 Win Over Yinzers
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons faced a tough opponent in Monroeville pitcher Pete Costa, but found a way to pull out the victory at The Cave at Levittown by a final score of 2-1 in 11 innings. Costa went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Levittown, at 23-22, occupies 5th place in the Silver A.
In the bottom of the 11th, Jessie Wynn had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to left off Monroeville pitcher Mike Davis.
"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Wynn.
