Though he had a stellar game, Leonard Richmond could not prevent his team, the Levittown Blue Dragons, from losing, 4-3, to the Grand Forks Caterpillars. Richmond was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tim Hill notched his 2nd save of the season. The triumph makes Grand Forks 16-30.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Charlie Knott? The Grand Forks center fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Caterpillars on top, 4-0. For the game, Knott had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
