Sosa Goes Deep Twice in 11-7 Caterpillars Win
The Grand Forks Caterpillars defeated the Monroeville Yinzers, 11-7. Doing his part was third baseman Salvador Sosa, who slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 6. The win was credited to Denie Vogelsang in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Robert Martin took the loss. The Caterpillars now have a record of 21-26 with the win over Monroeville.

Charlie Knott was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for Grand Forks. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Robert Martin. It was his 6th walk of the season.
