Yellows Notch 6-3 Win Versus Reapers

Yucca Valley took on Grim in front of a lively crowd.
A 3-RBI performance from shortstop Raúl Rojas, who is tied for 5th in the SA in doubles with 10, led the Yucca Valley Yellows to a win over the Grim Reapers, 6-3. Chris von Kotze, who is tied for 4th in the SA in innings pitched with 75.2, was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.
Rojas had a big hit for Yucca Valley with one out in the bottom of the fourth. With Yucca Valley leading 3-0, Rojas hit a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Yellows up, 6-0.
"If it's down the middle," said Rojas, "you might as well hit it."
The 8th-place Yellows now have a win-loss record of 19-29.
