Yucca Valley took on Levittown in front of a lively crowd.
Yucca Valley pitcher Dave McBride did his part in helping his team defeat the Levittown Blue Dragons, 5-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. McBride picked up the win for Yucca Valley, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3.
Raúl Rojas came through with a big-time hit for Yucca Valley. The shortstop smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Yucca Valley manager Ernest Orr.
