The Delmarva Gallos downed the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 6-3, at Liberty Youth Field. Cam López led the way, going 2-for-2 for Delmarva. The second-place Liberty U-24 now sit at 32-17.
It could have been a different outcome for Delmarva, had it not been for Ray McKenzie, the 21-year old catcher . McKenzie contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Delmarva up, 2-0.
McKenzie said his team "played with determination."
