Chiefs Shut Out Arryns, 3-0

The Caldwell Chiefs picked up a win at Pipers Ballpark, knocking off the Lake Erie Arryns, 3-0. Starting pitcher Ronnie Palmer played a key role in the triumph. Palmer picked up the win for Caldwell, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. Gerardo Guillén closed the door for Caldwell, picking up his 12th save of the year.
Caldwell right fielder Tomás Guzmán contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 2-0.
Caldwell manager Jorge Agramunt said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
Caldwell now has a record of 27-22 with the win.
