Cai-fei Teng imposed his will on the Walleye from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 Grand Forks triumph. Denie Vogelsang earned the save, his 2nd, for the Caterpillars. Grand Forks is 7th in the Silver A with a record of 24-27.

In the bottom of the fifth, Salvador Sosa delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Grand Forks shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Caterpillars in front, 2-1.

"Cai-fei doing his thing just hyped us all up," said Grand Forks manager Oriol Razo.
