Mango Yard was the site of a tense game between the Holy City Herons and Grim Reapers.
In a low-scoring game between the Grim Reapers and the Holy City Herons, pitcher Cecil Cornett was masterful on the mound. The Grim left-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Rafael Balita finished the game for Grim and earned his 15th save.
Grim used the timely hitting of Michinori Nakamura to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reapers ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Holy City skipper Ralph Horn, "and it cost us."
With the win, Grim upped its record to 28-23.
