In a tight affair between the Monroeville Yinzers and the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, pitcher Pete Costa was in the zone. The Monroeville right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. Milo Church recorded the save, his 4th. The win gives the Yinzers a record of 18-35.
Costa's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 3 hits. Costa goes to 1-4 on the year with 48 strikeouts.
