Behind a fine performance from Maurice King, the Alaskan Bush Pilots knocked off the Grim Reapers, 5-4. King went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bush Pilots. Bryan Massey notched his 18th save of the season. The 4th-place Bush Pilots lifted their record to 30-24.
This game was not decided until Kikaku Kikuchi came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, the Alaskan pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly. The Bush Pilots took the lead, 5-4.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said King.
