Reapers Stick Caterpillars with 7-1 Loss
|
Grim Reapers starter Emílio Sosa turned in a top-notch performance against the Grand Forks Caterpillars at The Cocoon. The result was a win for the Reapers, 7-1. Sosa, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. The Reapers now have a mark of 21-35.
Grim third baseman Michinori Nakamura produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Luther Jackson on the mound and Grim leading 2-1. Nakamura drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Grim manager Arnold Magowan.
