Blue Dragons Subdue Monroeville, 4-3

The Levittown Blue Dragons overcame a pretty good performance by Monroeville shortstop Bruce King, beating the Yinzers, 4-3, at The Cave at Levittown. King was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Juan Sánchez picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-0. Chris McElroy, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Blue Dragons grabbed the lead when Egor Karakai rapped a two-out single. Levittown was trailing 3-2, when Karakai hit a 2-run single off Pete Costa to put his team in front, 4-3.
Monroeville manager Jack Willis said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
With the win, Levittown upped its record to 29-29.
