Philadelphia Liberty U-24 starter Bryan Miller hurled his team past the Delmarva Gallos, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Miller, now 9-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. Ismael Díaz collected his 20th save.

Ben Álvarez had a big solo home run for the Liberty U-24 in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a changeup from Walt Murray, who is tied for 5th in the SA with a 8.4 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Liberty U-24 ahead, 2-0.

Álvarez told a Philadelphia Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Liberty U-24 have an impressive 41-24 record.
