The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 picked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bob Heath played a key role in the triumph. The save went to Ismael Díaz, number 21 for him. Philadelphia, at 42-25, sits in third place in the Silver A.
Ben Álvarez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Philadelphia a 2-0 lead.
"Bob did a nice job," said Liberty U-24 manager Rio Bavin.
