Bush Pilots Rally to Nose Past Monroeville
The Alaskan Bush Pilots turned back the Monroeville Yinzers, 6-5, at Bush Pilots Park. Jeff Godfrey, in particular, had a fine performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Wilford Turner snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-5 on the season. Milo Church suffered the loss. Alaskan is now 34-34, while Monroeville is 24-44.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Alaskan trailing 5-4, Godfrey jumped on a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Milo Church and hit a 2-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Bush Pilots had a walk-off win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Godfrey told reporters after the game.
