Warmerdam Swings Caterpillars to 5-2 Win
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars beat the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 5-2, at Smokies Stadium. Eiske Warmerdam, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 9th-place Caterpillars have a record of 28-44.
Grand Forks grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Warmerdam hit a 3-run home run off Gijsbert Arents. His 7th home run of the season put the Caterpillars out in front, 4-1.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Warmerdam.
