Caterpillars Get Clutch Win Versus Caldwell
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars outlasted the Caldwell Chiefs, 7-6, in 10 innings. Grand Forks shortstop Kenzo Hatakeyama stood out with his performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Caldwell has now lost 4 straight.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Grand Forks trailing 6-5, Hatakeyama hit a cutter from Gerardo Guillén for a 2-run home run, giving the Caterpillars the walk-off win.
