River Rats Rally to Nose Past Caldwell
|
The Columbia River Rats beat the Caldwell Chiefs, 4-3, in part because of third baseman Rickey Rush. He went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI. Columbia's record now stands at 48-40, placing them 4th in the Silver A.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Rush. Facing Gerardo Guillén with the bases loaded, the Columbia third baseman had a run-scoring walk. Game over, walk-off style!
