Pepe Valentín was terrific for the Put-In-Bay Commodores in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus. His performance earned Valentín rave reviews. The Commodores now have a mark of 7-14.

Valentín picked up the win. He's now 1-0, after putting the Smoky Mountain offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 4 hits.

"Pepe did a good job keeping the game under control," said Put-In-Bay manager José Trejo.
