The Grand Forks Caterpillars topped the Yucca Valley Yellows, 3-2, in USSL Single A action at The Cocoon. The game was highlighted by the performance of Grand Forks pitcher Cai-fei Teng. Grand Forks pitcher Luther Jackson got the win, upping his record to 2-4. Jesús Hernández got the loss. The win puts Grand Forks at 34-57.

Grand Forks got a knockout punch from Charlie Knott. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Afterward, Caterpillars manager Oriol Razo said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
