Holy City shortstop Dewitt Kennedy was sensational. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Columbia beat the Herons, 7-6. The win belonged to Calvin Burkett in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Chris Bailey took the loss for Holy City. Columbia has a record of 50-42, placing them 5th in the Silver A.

Joseph MacFadden's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 4-4. The Columbia designated hitter hit a run-scoring single off Chris Bailey to put the River Rats up.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said MacFadden, "but we really needed that win."
