The Put-In-Bay Commodores got a strong performance from pitcher Donald Huffman, who stymied the Lake Erie offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Arryns Ballpark. Huffman, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The Commodores now have a mark of 11-19.

Kyushichi Suzuki came through with a big-time hit for Put-In-Bay. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"My job is to go out and execute," said Huffman.
