The Huntington Hermit Crabs defeated the Newmarket Rogues, 7-2. Doing his part was third baseman Martín Vargas, who went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. Today's win puts Huntington at 14-16, while Newmarket falls to 8-22.

With Huntington leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Vargas hit a run-scoring single off Newmarket hurler Bob Scott. It was the 23rd hit of the season for Vargas and put his team ahead, 3-1.
