Commodores Collect 2-1 Win Versus Kennesaw
|
The Kennesaw Jets were defeated, 2-1, by the Put-In-Bay Commodores at Jets Stadium, even though Glenn Murphy pitched well for Kennesaw. Pepe Valentín, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Jets to 1 run on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. With the win over Kennesaw, the Commodores improved to 15-21.
Choong-suk Yun took Kennesaw hurler Glenn Murphy deep in the top of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Commodores on top, 2-0. In all, Yun had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
