The Lake Erie Arryns, behind a great outing from Jesse Simmons defeated the Newmarket Rogues, 1-0, at Rogues Stadium. The last-place Rogues now sit at 12-26.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Arryns had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fifth, when left fielder Gerald Jones hit a run-scoring single. The single came off David Ramos and made the score 1-0, Arryns. Jones went 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch.

"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Jones said.
