The Chicago Tula faced a tough opponent in Eugene pitcher Shane Park, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Riot Zone by a final score of 7-5 in 11 innings. Park went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chicago reliever Cooper Jefferson snagged the win, upping his record to 3-2. Tony Peña shouldered the loss. Martin Schneider closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Chicago went up, 6-5, on Bryan Catron's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Catron hit in the top of the 11th, left Eugene pitcher Tony Peña muttering to himself.
"Big win," said Catron.
Chicago, now 29-16, holds down first place in the Premier A.
